Bed & Breakfast Association
The Bed and Breakfast Association is the UK trade association for B&Bs, Guesthouses and independent hotels. The Bed & Breakfast Association exists to "inform, support and represent" members. Membership is open to existing business owners/managers or anyone who is at the planning or buying stage and considering starting a B&B business.
The Association represents the interest of its members on a governmental and regulatory level as well as providing promotional support and professional development for the industry. The B&B Association is part of the Tourism Alliance, and B&B Association Chairman David Weston sits on the UK Governent’s “Tourism Industry Council”, Chaired by the Minister of Tourism (Michael Ellis MP).
The Association won the CAF/CBI “Sector Representation Award” in 2010 as the best trade association in the UK at representing its members – out of 313 trade associations across all sectors.
Sue & Andrew Burrell of Yorkshire joined the Association before starting their B&B in 2012, and by January 2015 had been crowned “No. 1 B&B in the world” by TripAdvisor in its annual Awards. Sue says she could not have got her business off to such a good start without the B&B Association, and says: “I would recommend the Bed & Breakfast Association to anyone as one of the most cost-effective tools for an accommodation provider"
