The Central Association of Agricultural Valuers
The CAAV is the UK-wide specialist professional association briefing, representing and qualifying agricultural valuers in advising and acting on the very varied matters affecting rural and agricultural businesses and property.
Instructed by a wide range of clients, including farmers, owners, lenders, public authorities, conservation bodies, utility providers, government agencies and others, CAAV Fellows’ work requires an understanding of practical issues, bringing together a wide range of skills with an emphasis on rounded advice, appraisal and practical judgment.
The economics and practicalities of agriculture and farm businesses, including tenancies, land occupation and businesses structures, government schemes and regulations, taxation, development control, compulsory purchase, and many other factors are all material to this work. The CAAV works with governments across the UK, industry bodes and others to seek the practical impletions of policies.
