Di Wood (Hammill) set up Wild Harvest 14 years ago, starting as an activities provider in the North Yorkshire Moors teaching foraging and rural skills then later adding glamping to increase the radius of her customer base.
Wild Harvest attracts customers from China, Dubai and Europe as well as all corners of the UK to do activity packages combining; foraging, natural crafts, instinctive archery and bushcraft with glamping in off-grid tipis.
Her new book ‘How To Set Up A Successful Glamping Business and Get Fully Booked…’ gives away their winning formula to help other glamping businesses reach their potential. In addition to the book Wild Harvest can offer Activities Training and Accreditation for other venues to become Wild Harvest Accredited Activities providers. Wild Harvest Tipis and Activities Franchises are now available. Di is educated to post-grad level in psychology and is a qualified adult-education tutor, she raised her three children off-grid and alone in a remote dale in a green caravan!
