Satellite – the unseen answer for rural broadband

About Roger Boddy

Roger Boddy has been involved in the satellite industry as a teacher / Engineer / Executive / Entrepreneur since 1966 (when the satellite industry was only 3 years old). He has held senior positions with Board responsibility in both the public and private sectors of this challenging industry, is an adviser to OFCOM and set up Global Teleports in 1998 from scratch to become a leading service provider in all sectors including military, banking, Shipping, Aeronautical and rural communities.

Satellite services are the point to multipoint element of the telecommunications world. If the satellite beam covers your farm / building / community / Boat / plane / coach / train you can have broadband service either static or on the move at a fraction of the cost of digging in fibre (which does not work for “on the move” applications)
