Taking the headache out of Auto Enrolment

By law every UK company created before April 2012 must set up an auto enrolment pension scheme for eligible workers. The initiative represents the most substantial change to workplace pensions for 60 years.…and a big thing for the c.1.5 million small businesses it will affect in the next few years. Studies have shown that over half of SMEs don’t feel confident that they can handle their auto enrolment obligations, with a staggering two thirds of those companies not even aware when their staging date is. This could mean that small businesses risk very considerable fines...from £400 up to £50,000 or even a two-year prison sentence for failing comply with the legislation. The Smart Pension seminar will help you to make sense of the auto enrolment maze in a jargon free and easy to understand way. It will cover all the things you need to consider when choosing a workplace pension scheme that make your life easier, save you unnecessary expense, and give you the peace of mind to get on with running your business, knowing that everything is in hand, you are complying with your legal duties and your employees are being well looked after.

Satellite – the unseen solution for Rural Fast & Superfast broadband

The UK is a de-regulated telecoms marketplace, yet terrestrial delivery is monopolised and the Government’s target to get superfast broadband to 95% of the population is baulked by the high cost of delivering fibre to the home. Government figures for End 2015 Broadband coverage of the UK include service by wire, fibre and WiFi focussing on serving the Urban sprawl yet still with many not spots. They do not include coverage by satellite which is already at 100% UK coverage and can be delivered without fuss, wayleave or digging up the highways and byways It is also affordable with prices starting below the cost of a telephone line – (without the need for a telephone line!). Satellite technology has improved over recent years to the point where it is most cost effective, most available and is truly the unseen solution for Rural Fast & Superfast broadband.
